Laurence Whitty-Léveillé, Ph.D. |
Laurence obtained her PhD at Laval University in 2019, her thesis touching on the development of novel approaches to the separation of actinides in rare earth mining residues. She joins Merck & Co, Inc. in 2020 and takes advantage of her wide knowledge in metals analysis to collaborate on a great variety of programs, notably by working on the Gardasil® vaccine against VPH. In 2022, she develops a new approach to study the interaction between metals in stainless steel and antibodies in various formulations. This new method led to the implantation of a new process to quantify metals during the drug development phase. Since then, she's interested in antibody mass spectrometry and supports various programs, namely clesrovimab, a vaccine for the immunization of toddlers against the respiratory syncitial virus (RSV). |
